Pops Of Colour With Aveda
With this crazy Cali weather my makeup has been more on the baesic side. Does the weather ever make ya'll feel unmotivated and uninspired?
Thank goodness I was able to link up with one of my dope friends whom I call Manang High who works for the brand Aveda as a salon spa developer, because she hooked me up with some products I have never tried and am so excited to share with you all (stay tuned). The first couple of products I decided to try were these eye definer eye pencils because I have many of those days where my eyes are left alone with the exception of mascara, so I decided to pop these two vibrant colors underneath my lower lash line as the perfect accent. These eye definers literally glide on without tugging on my skin too much compared to other penciled eye liners which is a plus! The smooth and blendable formula comes from aromatic flower waxes from petals of jasmine and leaves from geranium that creates a soft texture that stays true to color. These did not make my eyes water, and they pretty much stayed put underneath my lash line without any smearing. And speaking of smudging, after applying I like to go in with a smudger brush to blend out the line a little bit and voila! Baesic with an oomph.
The packaging is made up of 80% post- consumer recycled fiber and the FSC logo on the pencil indicated that the wood came from well- managed forests certified with the Forest Stewardship Council. This product is also cruelty- free (human tested).
My two favorites are named "Tidepool" which is like a teal color and "Violet Blossom" which is a mixture of purple and navy blue put together. I have dark brown eyes and I feel like they compliment my eye color so well.
